Life in displacement, seen from within.

The refugee camps are places of hardship, but they are also places where communities continue to live, learn, work, worship, create and hope.

Life in the camps is shaped by limited space and resources, humanitarian needs and uncertainty about the future.

Yet families continue their daily routines and communities continue to support one another.

EVERYDAY LIFE

The ordinary moments matter too.

I document everyday moments that are often overlooked, including families spending time together, children playing, people working, students going to class, friends and neighbours meeting, community activities, religious practices, markets, celebrations and quiet personal moments. These ordinary experiences are an important part of life in the camps.

Humanitarian Conditions

I document the humanitarian realities of life in the camps, including food insecurity, shelter conditions, access to healthcare, humanitarian assistance, water and sanitation, aid activities, community needs and emergency response. Through photography and storytelling, I try to show the everyday realities behind these challenges.

Documentary Responsibility

Documenting with dignity.

As someone who belongs to the community I document, I understand the responsibility that comes with photographing vulnerable people.

My aim is to represent people as human beings, not simply as victims.
